LIPA Regulated Transmission Facility Charge

LIPA is currently a Designated Entity with respect to a Designated Public Policy Project associated with the regulated transmission solution selected by the NYISO Board of Directors to address the Long Island Offshore Wind Export Public Policy Transmission Need.

On an annual basis, LIPA recovers the costs of facilities associated with regulated transmission solutions through the LIPA Regulated Transmission Facilities Charge “RTFC” through monthly billings made by the NYISO. The RTFC is derived from the Annual Transmission Revenue Requirement “ATRR” calculated in accordance with the LIPA Formula Rate approved by the LIPA Board of Trustees on June 24, 2026 and set forth here. The ATRR is recorded in NYISO OATT Section 6.10.12.

By July 1st of each year, LIPA will calculate and publish the Annual Update of the ATRR and subsequently hold an Open Meeting and conference call to provide an opportunity for interested parties to obtain information about the Annual Update.
