Ethics Reporting

Our Commitment to Integrity

LIPA values ethical decision-making and integrity. Employees and members of the public can use EthicsPoint to report possible violations of our Code of Conduct or fraud against LIPA and its customers. Employees and those whom we serve may raise concerns without fear of retaliation or adverse action.

LIPA’s Code of Conduct applies to our employees and members of our Board of Trustees. Operating in accordance with our Code builds trust with our employees, customers, the Long Island and Rockaway communities, and investors.

EthicsPoint allows you to:

  • Report ethics complaints online or by using a toll-free hotline available 24-hours a day
  • Receive digital progress updates from LIPA on the status of your report

The information you provide can be sent to LIPA by EthicsPoint on a confidential and anonymous basis, if you choose.

Reports will be assigned to appropriate personnel within LIPA’s Office of the General Counsel to ensure consistency in the review process and appropriate corrective actions.

To Make an Ethics Report via EthicsPoint

After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a “report key.” Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.

EthicsPoint is NOT a 911 or Emergency Service

Do not use the ethics reporting website to report events presenting an immediate threat to life or property. Reports submitted through this service may not receive an immediate response. If you require emergency assistance, please contact your local authorities.
