LIPA proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service to modify the Small Generator Interconnection Procedures (SGIP), which outline interconnection procedures for Distributed Generators and Energy Storage Systems under 10 MW. To view the entire proposal, Click Here.
Written comments on the above proposals can be emailed to [email protected] by September 5, 2026. Comments will be provided to the Board of Trustees for their consideration. Comments can also be provided at the following public comment sessions:
- Session 1: Monday, August 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the H. Lee Dennison Building, 100 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge, NY 11788.
- Session 2: Monday, August 31, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. virtually or in person at 333 Earle Ovington Blvd., Suite 403, Uniondale, NY 11553. The link to register for the virtual session will be posted at a later date.
