Jeannine G. Maynard, MSW, LCSW

Co-Facilitator at Greater Uniondale Area Action Coalition (GUAAC) - Uniondale Community Council, Inc.

  • Jeannine G. Maynard, MSW, LCSW, currently serves as the Co-Facilitator and  Founder of the Greater Uniondale Area Action Coalition (GUAAC), Vice President & Clerk of the Uniondale Community Land Trust, member of the Uniondale School District Bond Oversight Committee, and the Co-chair of the Sands NY Community Environmental Sub-Committee. She also serves on the leadership team of the Transportation Diversity Council, Inc.
  • She is the 2023/2024 honored recipient of the Hofstra University Center for Civic Engagement’s Michael D’Innocenzo Award for Outstanding Contribution to Constructive Public Dialogue on Long Island.
  • She is a life-long Nassau County resident and a Uniondale area community activist, living in the Uniondale UFSD area of Hempstead for more than 37 years.
  • Ms. Maynard retired in late 2022 as a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), directing behavioral health programs at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Brooklyn. Prior to her time as a LCSW, she was a Uniondale Community Council Youth Project Program Director for more than 15 years, where she developed as a local community leader.
  • Ms. Maynard’s post-graduate career spans more than 46 years of experience with direct clinical services, management, program development and directorship roles in community mental health and non-profit programs, youth programs, and collaborative partnerships.
  • Ms. Maynard is an alumnus of Adelphi University School of Social Work, Master of Social Work (MSW) class of 1978, a retired Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and holds a post-graduate certificate in not-for-profit leadership from Adelphi’s School of Social Work inaugural class of 2011.
