President, Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.
Phil Andrews is the President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. New York State’s largest African American Chamber. He is also the Founding President of the African American Small Business Foundation, Inc. and the Past President of the 100 Black Men of Long Island, Inc.
He is the President Emeritus of the Black Public Relations Society-New York Inc. which is New York’s Premier organization for Image Makers and Strategists in Public Relations.
Phil’s work has been featured in multi-platform publications including Long Island Business News, Black Star News, The New York Beacon, Amsterdam News, Minority Business Review, The Network Journal, and more. He has appeared on WABC Here and Now and NBC’s Positively Black.
He currently serves on the advisory board of WA Public Relations Company, the Board of Directors of the Interfaith Nutrition Network, and the Long Island Association. Phil has served on several Board of Directors including the Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce, Roosevelt Kiwanis, Hempstead Chamber of Commerce, and Bronx Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Chamber of Commerce.
After serving several years in the US Navy and Army Reserves, Phil attended York College and John Jay College.He graduated from paralegal school and had a nearly twenty-year career in law enforcement.
