Robert O. Gurman

Robert O. Gurman serves as Managing Consultant of Proenergy Consulting LLC. An experienced commercial and finance professional in the clean energy, vehicle electrification/clean mobility, renewable energy, and project and infrastructure finance space, Mr. Gurman has closed over $28 billion of transactions in his 30+ year career.
Mr. Gurman's areas of expertise also includes solar, storage and microgrids, energy efficiency for real estate, conventional electric generation, and the emerging U.S. offshore wind sector. Mr. Gurman is co-developer of a 100 megawatt solar facility in Pennsylvania. Mr. Gurman also is a co-founder and serves on the Investment Committee of Newmarket Capital-International Infrastructure Finance Company Funds.
Mr. Gurman is the Transportation Electrification Advisor for the Build Edison consulting firm and teaches project and infrastructure finance for Standard & Poor's Global Market Intelligence. Mr. Gurman has also taught and lectured at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Columbia University Business School, and New York University.
On behalf of NY Green Bank (NYGB), Mr. Gurman developed an extensive marketing program covering electric vehicles (EV) from original equipment manufacturers, charging infrastructure developers, fleet operators, technology suppliers, and capital and financing sources. Mr. Gurman also worked on developing NYGB's financing structures and co-wrote its EV industry presentation. On behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office (LPO), Mr. Gurman advises on business models pursued in transportation electrification and the financial products that could support these through LPO programs.
Mr. Gurman also serves as a commercial consultant to the New York State Energy Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) in its Clean Transportation Roadmap initiative. Within the growing New York's electrification market, the interface includes all commercial participants. It covers the range of government instrumentalities, including constant dialogue with NYSERDA's Clean Transportation Team and numerous other state and regional agencies.
Mr. Gurman began his finance career at Swiss Bank Corporation, NY (now UBS Group). Fourteen years later, he left to become president of Kamine International Power Corp., an independent international power developer. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Union College and his Master of Arts in International Energy Policy and Economics from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies.

Bruce Levy

Bruce Levy has held key executive positions in the U.S. and International energy sectors for the past 30 years. His experience includes development, operating, and finance roles in both regulated and competitive energy businesses. He has recognized expertise across the energy industry, including strategy, business development, operational improvement, financial management, and risk mitigation. Further, Mr. Levy is actively involved in developing regulatory and energy policy with local and national governments.
Mr. Levy is a principal and serves as President of BMR Energy Limited, a company focused on the development, investment, and management of renewable energy infrastructure projects throughout the Caribbean and Central America. BMR has operating wind and solar generation projects in Jamaica, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.
Prior to BMR Energy, Mr. Levy served as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of International Power's North America region. Mr. Levy was responsible for all aspects of the region's performance, including plant operations, finance, energy trading, and new business development. The operations covered ten states and Canada and included over 7,000 megawatts of natural gas, coal, wind, and solar power assets.
Prior to International Power, Mr. Levy held key positions at the U.S. power company GPU Inc., last serving as the company's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to becoming CFO, Mr. Levy served as President and CEO of GPU International, where he led the start-up and growth of all non-regulated businesses within the company. In this role, Mr. Levy expanded GPU operations, through development, acquisition, and joint venturing, into non-regulated power generation in the U.S. and internationally, electric utility distribution in South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia, retail energy services, telecom services, and electrical contracting.
Mr. Levy has broad experience in financing and has structured and negotiated facilities for over US$12 billion of acquisition, project, and asset-backed financing.
Mr. Levy served as Chair of the Electric Power Supply Association, the national association of competitive power suppliers, from 2007-2010. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Liberty Science Center and chairman of its Finance Committee. Mr. Levy has a Mechanical Engineering degree from City College of New York, a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from New York University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
