- The Board of Trustees adopted a Resolution: (i) approving the 2024 Performance Metrics; (ii) approving the proposed 2024 Operating and Capital Budgets which sets forth the revenue, grant, other income, and expenditure forecasts for the year ending December 31, 2024; and (iii) amending the 2023 Capital Budget as described and specified herein
- The Trustees adopted Resolutions approving changes to the Long Island Power Authority's Tariff for Electric Service: (i) to modify the dynamic load management program; (ii) to update the community choice aggregation program; (iii) to implement the annual budget and rate adjustments; (iv) to expand the eligibility for the low-income program discount; and (v) to confirm the zero Emission Credit program financial backstop cost recovery mechanism, as described and specified herein. - Consideration of the proposed changes to the Small Generator interconnection Procedures (SGIP) was postponed.

- LIPA proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service to create a Time of Day (TOD) rate that will become the standard rate for residential non-heating service beginning in 2024. To learn more, click here.

- The Trustees approved changes to the Long Island Power Authority's Tariff for Electric Service: (1) introduced a new, option time-of-use (TOU) rate for large commercial customers, effective January 1, 2023; and (2) updated the manual meter reading fee provisions to reflect early completion of smart meter deployment, effective August 1, 2022. - The Trustees approved updates to the Long Island Power Authority's regulations for filing requests for records under New York State's Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and to conform with FOIL's statutory provisions regarding the collection of fees for copying and producing records. (PDF)

- The Trustees approved temporary emergency changes to LIPA's Tariff for Electric Service, in response to the COVID-19 emergency, to provide discretion to ease the terms of deferred payment agreements and security deposits for non-residential customers. (PDF)
- The Trustees approved modifications to the Community Distributed Generation ("CDG"), Value of Distributed Energy Resources ("VDER"), and Net Energy Metering provisions of its Tariff for Electric Service (the "Tariff"): (1) to implement a resource capacity factor adjustment to the Community Credit component of VDER compensation, as recommended in the Whitepaper Regarding High-Capacity-Factor Resources ("Whitepaper")[1]; (2) to exclude new non-renewable resources from eligibility for the VDER Environmental Value, as recommended in the Whitepaper; (3) to make new non-renewable resources ineligible for Net Energy Metering consistent with PSL 66-p; and (4) to clarify that a project will receive the Community Credit rate in effect at the time the project qualifies for 25 years from the project's in-service date. - The Trustees approved to modify the Tariff for Electric Service (the "Tariff") effective June 1, 2020, in accordance with the New York State Public Service Commission Proceeding 14-M-0224; Proceeding on Motion of the Commission to Enable Community Choice Aggregation Program. (PDF)
- The Trustees approved to modify PSEG Long Island's Smart Grid Small Generator Interconnection Procedures (the "SGIP"), effective June 1, 2020, to reflect additional updates and clarifications of the New York Public Service Commission (the "Commission") to the New York State Standardized Interconnection Requirements ("SIR") for Small Distributed Generators as a result of the December 13, 2019 Order Modifying Standardized Interconnection Requirements (5 MW or Less) and to extend such changes as applicable to the SGIP for five megawatts to ten megawatts. - The Trustees approved an addition to Service Classification No. 13 Negotiated Contracts to authorize a negotiated contract with sewer districts participating in the Suffolk County Coastal Resiliency Initiative to provide electric service to separately metered pumping equipment at thousands of individual customer locations as part of an effort to protect ground water sources and sustain the regional environment on Long Island that will benefit LIPA's customers and the surrounding waterways of the Great South Bay. - The Trustees approved to modify the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") effective June 1, 2020, to authorize purchases of renewable resources under a new Solar Communities Feed-In Tariff ("Solar Communities FIT"). (PDF)

- The Long Island Power Authority ("the Authority") staff proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") effective June 1, 2017 to make it consistent with the policies and principles set forth in the Order Adopting Dynamic Load Management Program Changes with Modifications issued by the New York Public Service Commission ("PSC") in Proceeding No. 14-E-0423 and to clarify staff's authority to update certain features of this tariff. - The Long Island Power Authority ("the Authority") Staff proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") effective January 1, 2017 to effectuate a settlement agreement (the "2016 Settlement") between the Authority and the Town of Southampton (the "Town") regarding collection of arrears owed to the Authority pursuant to the Visual Benefits Assessment ("VBA"). - The Long Island Power Authority ("LIPA" or the "Authority") Staff proposes to modify the PSEG-Long Island Smart Grid Small Generator Interconnection Procedures ("Smart Grid SGIP") which is an addendum to the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") in order to reflect the March 2016 updates made to New York State Standardized Interconnection Requirements and Application Process for New Distributed Generators 5 MW or Less Connected in Parallel with Utility Distribution Systems ("SIR") and to provide for implementation of the Online Application Portal required by the SIR. - The Long Island Power Authority ("the Authority") Staff proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") effective January 1, 2017 to update the existing Balanced Billing program in order to (1) reduce the frequency and magnitude of resets to customers' monthly Balanced Billing charges; (2) provide residential customers with the option to roll over annual reconciliation amounts; and (3) clarify eligibility for the program. - The Long Island Power Authority ("the Authority") Staff proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") effective January 1, 2017 to (1) transfer operating expenses and taxes related to power supply into the Power Supply Charge; (2) adopt the term "Power Supply Charge" within the Tariff; and (3) recognize the costs for compliance with the Clean Energy Standard in the Power Supply Charge. - The Long Island Power Authority ("LIPA") Staff proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") effective August 1, 2016, in order to effectuate a provision of the Long Island Power Authority Reform Act transferring certain responsibilities related to the handling of customer petitions regarding rehearings of the Authority's decisions on appeals and shared meter determinations to the Long Island Office of the Department of Public Service ("DPS") and to mirror the processes followed by the Department of Public Service with respect to handling of customer complaints at investor owned utilities. - The Long Island Power Authority staff proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") effective April 1, 2016 to: (1) authorize Community Distributed Generation Net Metering; (2) modify existing Tariff provisions relating to Remote Net Metering to conform to New York Public Service Commission practices for the regulated utilities; and (3) modify other Tariff provisions to conform to amendments to Public Service Law $66-j regarding eligibility and size limits for net metering. - The Long Island Power Authority staff proposes to modify the Tariff for Electric Service ("Tariff") effective April 1, 2016 to authorize three dynamic load management programs: (1) a Direct Load Control program; (2) a Distribution Load Relief program; and (3) a Commercial System Relief program. - The Long Island Power Authority ("LIPA") staff proposes revisions to the LIPA Tariff for Electric Service to authorize the purchase of an additional 20 MW of renewable resources other than solar photovoltaic ("PV") from customers for a fixed term of 10 years at a fixed price for the entire term.
