Billy Raley
Senior Vice President, Transmission and Distribution
Billy Raley is LIPA’s Senior Vice President of Transmission and Distribution (T&D). Mr. Raley is responsible for overseeing PSEG Long Island operations, including the design, planning, operation, maintenance, and construction of the T&D system, regulatory compliance, emergency planning and response, interconnection of generation resources, and overall performance metric management.
Mr. Raley has over 35 years of experience in the utility industry, including utility operations, project management, construction, maintenance, storm restoration, and nuclear generation. Previously, Mr. Raley was the Lead Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Capital Projects and Infrastructure Practice. Mr. Raley has also held numerous leadership positions at Progress Energy, Georgia Power, and the Southern Company.
Mr. Raley has served on several philanthropic boards, including Chairman of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce, Trustee of Stetson University and the Stetson College of Law, as well as several private company boards of directors with responsibility for operations forensics, operational excellence, financial health evaluation, acquisition reviews, and divestitures.
Mr. Raley received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Raley is a member of IEEE and has served on the AEIC committee and numerous other national committees. Mr. Raley also participates in the Energeia Partnership at Molloy College, a think-tank organization focused on challenges facing Long Island.
