LIPA offers numerous ways to report your outage.

Never touch or go near any downed wire. Assume any wire is a live electric wire and report it immediately 24/7. Call 800-490-0075.

Online
	Report an outage or diagnose a partial light problem. Once the cause of the outage is known, we will provide you with updates on restoration and when you can expect service to be restored. Report an outage online

Text OUT to 695472 (myLIPA)
	Quickly report an outage by texting "OUT" to 695472 (myLIPA). You will receive confirmation that your outage has been submitted and will begin receiving ongoing updates as the status of your outage changes. Requires one time registration. Mobile Website
	Visit www.lipower.org from your smartphone or any internet-connected mobile device, to report an outage, get islandwide outage information, receive restoration updates and get helpful storm safety information. Access our Storm Center from your mobile device at www.lipower.org

Call 800-490-0075
	Call LIPA at 800-490-0075 to report an outage or downed wire. Automatically creates a “job” in the system for restoring service. Customers can request a call-back for more information if no restoration time is currently available. During a major storm, such as a hurricane, the call-back may take 24-36 hours as outages are assessed and prioritized Remember, call volume can become very busy during storms and the automated, interactive system allows the company to accept thousands of calls at a time and get your information to the right people faster. There is no difference between reporting outages through automated system or by talking with a representative

If there is a medical emergency, please call 911. Until your service is restored, we recommend that you seek shelter with a family member, neighbor or friend.

Critical Care Customers
If you are a Critical Care customer, please note that this does not guarantee priority restoration of service and there may be instances when timely restoration is difficult. Learn more
