Home Performance Direct Participating Contractors

LIPA's Home Performance Direct uses only contractors accredited by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and who participate in Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®. They have been trained to conduct a Comprehensive Home Audit (CHA) and recommend solutions for problem areas around the home.

In furtherance of Long Island Power Authority’s (LIPA) Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program, LIPA has assembled a list of independent home improvement contractors that are accredited by the Building Performance Institute (BPI), which list may be searched here. This list represents such independent contractors who meet the certification and accreditation guidelines of the BPI, the industry's resource for building science technology that sets standards for assessing and improving the energy performance of homes, and who are participants of LIPA's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program. LIPA makes no recommendations with regard to the selection by the customer of a contractor. In order to qualify for incentives within the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program, work must be completed by one of the independent BPI accredited Home Performance Contractors listed here. LIPA shall not be responsible, and makes no warranties, expressed or implied, for the materials used or workmanship of any of the independent contractors listed. The review or inspection and approval of the project, design, construction, operation or maintenance of energy savings projects, work or measures by LIPA or its agents is performed solely in connection with the approval of the payment of incentives by LIPA under the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program and shall not constitute any representation or certification as to workmanship, feasibility, operational capability, quality, safety or reliability for which the independent contractor is solely responsible.
