WHAT: THE SUN SHINES ON HABITAT HOUSE
A home built by Habitat for Humanity in Roosevelt will be outfitted with solar panels with volunteers from the Long Island Solar Energy Industries Association (LISEIA) and help from incentives provided by the Long Island Power Authority. Empire Clean Energy is providing the panels and LISEIA is providing the man power to install them. Tours of this ENERGY STAR® qualified home will exhibit the type of energy efficiency measures all home owners can take in order to save money and reduce our carbon footprint. Renewable Energy Long Island has coordinated this event with support from the Town of Hempstead.
