Depending on your wireless plan, you may be charged for the text messages associated with this service.
Send any of these commands to myLIPA (695472) to get a response from LIPA
| Keyword | Purpose | Information You Provide |
| REG | Register your cell phone to a LIPA account. | - Your
LIPA Account or Customer Number - Phone number associated with account |
| NICK | For accounts with
multiple locations, add a nickname such as Home or Office |
Nickname to be associated with account |
| OUT | Report a power problem: Outage or Partial Lights | None (LIPA already knows the account registered to your cell phone) |
| STAT | Check the power status of an account | None |
| PAUSE | Pause outage text messages for a specific account | None |
| RESUME | Resume text messages after using the pause command | None |
| STOP | Stop all future communications for a specific account | None |
| HELP | Receive a listing of all supported keywords | None |
