The Inn at Foxhollow
The Inn at Foxhollow, is a 145-room luxury hotel under construction in Woodbury. A technical study was performed by a Commercial Construction Program consultant, including a review of existing building plans to maximize potential energy savings, at no cost to the customer.
Based on the findings in the study, a Geothermal Cooling system was recommended and incorporated into the building plans. As a result, Scotto Brothers Enterprises received $180,000 in rebates and saves approximately $40,000 annually in energy costs. The project approximately results in 425 Mwh of energy savings annually.

"LIPA has been of tremendous assistance to us as we designed the heating and air conditioning system for the Inn. In fact, we were not originally considering a geothermal system. LIPA sent in a team and demonstrated the many benefits of an energy efficient geothermal system. LIPA also showed us how to incorporate energy efficient motor drives for the geothermal system, which will make it as energy efficient as possible."
