Departmental Financial Manager
Responsibilities:
Verification and monitoring of all expenditures within the Environmental Affairs Department and for the preparation, review, and monitoring of annual budgets. Accomplished through reconciliation of monthly variance reports, invoice tracking, and ensuring program managers are accountable for explanation and detail on all payments. Ensures all expenditures are in compliance with financial and accounting policy and procedure, as well as being in compliance with any 3rd party contracts.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline with a Masters preferred; 5 + years of related experience and strong quantitative and analytical skills; and the ability to work independently. Director of Internal Audit
Responsibilities:
This position will direct day-to-day operations of the internal audit function, ensuring the adequacy of the Authority’s system of internal controls, safeguarding of assets, and ensuring accuracy and reliability of both financial and operational information. Lead development and execution of the annual internal audit plan, and ensuring follow-up on recommendations. The position will be assisted by its own staff and/or consultants, and the Internal Audit Department of the Authority’s operations service provider. The position will report to the Finance and Audit Committee of the Board and senior management.
Requirements:
BS/BA in business or accounting, CPA and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA); MBA is desirable; 10 years or more of internal auditing or public accounting/auditing including 3 years or more at senior audit management level; ability to effectively communicate audit results and make persuasive presentations to all levels of management including the Board of Trustees.

Grant Analyst
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for the review and validation of monthly invoices and expense documentation to ensure contractual compliance with grant agreements and the granting agencies, such as the Department of Energy, NYSERDA, FEMA and SEMO. Requirements:

Responsibilities:
Coordinator will be responsible for assisting Director of IT in ensuring IT initiatives and applications are well managed, tracked and implemented as Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process and LIPA’s standards for project management. IT Systems Specialist/Engineer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing support and maintenance to assure the stability, uptime and security of LIPA IT Infrastructure and systems with an emphasis on providing end to end administration, design and support for LIPA’s Virtual (VMWare) and Storage Area Network (SAN) environments. Candidate should have strong background in LAN/WAN technology, VMWare, and Windows environment including experience with implementation and roll out of complex IT software applications and systems.
Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree in MIS/Computer Science or at least one of the following Microsoft Certifications, MSCA, MSCE, MCITP, or equivalent; and 7 + years in the Information Technology; including experience with installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows 2003/2008 Enterprise Server, Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010, SQL Server (2003/2005/2008), and Blackberry Enterprise Server. Extensive hands on experience working with VMWare ESX/ESXi 3.5/4.1/5.0, vSphere 4/5, and replication/backup solutions for VMWare (VMWare Certification a plus); experience with upgrade and migration of SAN and Disaster Recovery environments is preferred (experience with iSCSI protocol), and Symantec Endpoint Security, Symantec Backup Exec, HP EVA SAN, HP/Left-Hand Networks SAN, Cisco VPN, Citrix Server, RSA Secure ID Devices, IBM DataStage, Netezza Data Warehouse appliance, Windows XP/7, and Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010. Manager of Managerial Reporting
Responsiblities:
This position will be responsible for the preparation of monthly managerial reporting, including budget variance analysis and reporting to Senior Management and the Finance and Audit Committee. Additionally assist in the preparation and ongoing administration of the annual budget and long term financial plans, with the objective of forecasting future financial results, the impact of spending proposals on retail electric rates and other key performance measures and ensuring expenditure accountability.
Requirements:

Manager of Quantitative Analysis
Responsibilities:
Manager will assist in managing and preparing budgets for the Power Markets department, manage databases that support Power Market Operations, and coordinate the activities of the Resource Planning Coordinating Committee (RPCC). Under the direction of the Assistant VP for Planning and Analysis, works with the Power Market Department team to assure that the power supply for LIPA’s customers are procured in a reliable, cost effective manner.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, finance, accounting, economics or business administration or related fields. Master’s degree preferred; or, commensurate experience. Commensurate experience in lieu of educational requirements may be accepted. Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in finance, quantitative analysis, budget management with at a minimum of 3 years of utility industry experience, working for an electric investor-owned or public utility company or as a consultant to a public or private utility. Experience in development of and use of complex spreadsheets is essential. It is helpful if the candidate has experience with accounting systems; business intelligence tools; and document management systems.

The individual will lead a team working with an enterprise wide scope in the various functional areas, interfacing with significant contractors, and in collaboration with other business units.
The Vice President of Business Process Improvement will have responsibility for monitoring business performance, corporate risk analysis, and regulatory compliance, Information technology, and human resources.
Requirements:
