Prescriptive Approach
Financial Incentives are available to developers and building owners who agree to specify and install qualified energy-efficient equipment in buildings under construction or renovation. Customers choose from a list of qualified equipment.
Who is Eligible?
- Non-residential customers in LIPA’s service territory
- Existing facility – Undergoing major renovations
- New building – Design or early stages of construction
What Measures Qualify for Incentives?
- Lighting: Fluorescent fixtures and controls, HID fixtures and controls
- Performance Based Lighting
- Cooling: Unitary AC and split systems, Heat pumps (air, water), Chillers
- Premium Efficiency Motors and VFDs
- Air Compressors
- HVAC Controls/ECM Motors
- Commercial Kitchen Equipment
- Snack/Vending Machine Controls
Incentives
- Incentives are available for pre-qualified equipment.
- Annual incentives may go up to $100,000 per project;
- Annual incentives may go up to $300,000 per customer.
