Rebates and incentives are available for complex energy saving measures that are cost effective.

How it Works?

LIPA Project Managers will coordinate with our staff engineers and consultants who will evaluate your project for possible rebates and will help you choose energy efficient equipment and measures. This approach provides rebates for more complex energy-saving measures, with the flexibility to choose those not available through the Prescriptive Component. You must contact LIPA before the design phase.

What Measures Qualify for Incentives?

You can propose any electric-saving measure that has the potential to be cost effective.
Proven electric energy-saving measures that exceed “standard practice” (conform to standard building design practice in New York and which generally exceed NYS Energy Conservation Construction Code.)

Energy Management Systems
Geothermal
Insulation
Process Equipment
Refrigeration
VFD's controlling motors over 25hp
Whole Buildings

Annual rebates up to $200,000 per project.
A maximum of $600,000 in rebates are available for multiple custom projects in the same calendar year.
Custom rebates cannot exceed the energy-savings dollars (electric benefits).
